I’m an Associate Professor in Fluid Mechanics at the University of Cádiz, working at the crossroads of computational fluid dynamics, numerical optimization, aeroacoustics, and hydrodynamic stability.

My academic journey began with an Aerospace Engineering degree from the University of Seville (2009), leading to a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at École Polytechnique (2012). After a postdoctoral stint at École Polytechnique and a David Crighton Fellowship at the University of Cambridge (2014), I joined the School of Engineering at the University of Cádiz, where I have been based ever since.

My research focuses on developing and applying high-fidelity computational methods to tackle challenging problems in fluid mechanics — from the generation of aeroacoustic noise to the optimization of aerodynamic shapes and the stability analysis of turbomachinery flows.
